Day 1
A tour guide will be expecting you at Syntagma square. On your way to your first stop, you will pass by Ermou street and Monastiraki square where you can shop anything you like. First stop: a tour to The Acropolis Museum.
You are now ready to walk up on the Acropolis Hill and see the Parthenon closely. There are some other basic sights you can visit, such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Theatre of Dionysos and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. Early in the afternoon, you can stroll around the city center until dinner time. The restaurant is very close to Acropolis and has a spectacular view.
Day 2
Your second day in Athens is definitely the best one. You will visit Plaka which is the most beautiful neighborhood, with traditional houses and fantastic cafes and mini shops. You will have the option of some free time in the area or just grab a coffee and continue your walk.
Plaka has also one of the most famous hammams in Athens. Reservations are upon request. During lunch break, the tour guide will help you find a restaurant or a local tavern. Early in the afternoon, you will have some free time to rest or continue exploring the city until dinner time. Monastiraki, Psyri and Ermou streets are perfect for an afternoon walk.
Day 3
Entering the last day of your tour you will visit the southern suburbs of Attica: Vouliagmeni and Sounion. The tour guide will accompany you throughout the day. First, stop at Sounion where the Temple of Poseidon is. Gaze at the magical scenery in front of you and take plenty of photos. Our second and last stop is Vouliagmeni. Visit the famous lake of Vouliagmeni consisting of both sea and thermal spring water, have time by the sea, and lunch in a local restaurant.
On the third day, there is also the possibility of booking a private excursion with a sailing boat at the Athenian Riviera. The departure is from Sounion and the program includes all the above sights plus visiting some hidden shores and beaches. The sailing boat provides SUPs, soft drinks, beers and lunch on deck.
The private sailing experience is optional and booking is feasible upon request. Availability: May - October.
