Welcome to our Greece! Our guide will be expecting you at the airport in Athens and you will be heading to your hotel in a minivan. After a short break, you are about to start your first cooking lesson! An expert team will guide you in a tour of the local food market in the city center. You can choose among Greek walnuts, many types of olives, olive oil, wine, herbs, fresh fish and meat. After this tour, you will be returning to the place where the cooking starts. Learn step by step how to make the famous ‘Tzatziki’, ‘Spanakopita’ with phyllo, ‘dolmades’ and many more Greek plates. You will, of course, eat your creations with your companionship while drinking exceptional wine. Late in the afternoon, you are free to explore the heart of Athens, where you can stroll around the neighborhood of Plaka, Monastiraki, Syntagma and Thisseio. Overnight in Athens.
After having your breakfast, get ready to travel to northern Greece and arrive at Pelion. You will be staying in one of the most picturesque villages called Portaria. Your next stop will be an organic farm where you will take part in a cooking lesson. Learn about the numerous types of vegetables and herbs used in traditional plates and cultivated at the farm such as tomatoes, mint, onions, peppers, lettuces, parsley, leeks, garlic, eggplants and peppers. Prepare rooster with pasta, ‘spetzofai’, green beans cooked in tomato sauce, and local ‘trahana’. There is also a range of sweets to taste such ‘halvas’, baked desserts and spoon sweets. After a lavish meal that features your own creations, you can take a stroll around the lush green region of Pelion, where you will be able to admire its breathtaking scenery. Overnight in Pelion.
Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will be heading to Piraeus port, for your transportation to the island of Naxos, the largest Cycladic island. After a break at your accommodation, you will be visiting a cooking center developed by locals. Full of natural products this island offers you a great range of dishes and meze. Learn to make the famous traditional Naxian ‘Spanakopita’, stuffed eggplants with meat, the very known ‘Moussaka’, while tasting raw tomatoes along with ‘graviera’ cheese accompanied with wine or ‘tsipouro’. Eat, drink and feel like your home with your local food guides. In the afternoon you are free to discover the Chora of Naxos with its scenic Cycladic architecture. Overnight in Naxos.
Today is a beach day! You can choose among the many beaches of Naxos to visit which are all fully equipped with sunbeds and beach bars to suit all tastes. Crystal clear waters and endless sandy beaches await you to discover them! Relax under the Greek sun along with refreshing drinks, cocktails and tasty snacks. You can choose to eat your lunch among the many traditional taverns of the island suggested by your guide. Finally, the night is yours to visit any cafes and bars you wish. Overnight in Naxos.
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will be catching a ferry boat to your next destination, Paros island. After placing your baggage at your accommodation, you will be attending another cooking class with a local expert. Choose your ingredients from a great variety of products such as fresh fish, lentils, various greens and legumes, and many herbs which give the best flavor to your dishes. Make your own fish soup, roasted chickpeas, ‘fava’, ‘skordalia’, baked zucchini and tomato balls, all cooked in olive oil. Taste the local cheese ‘Mytzithra’, along with freshly baked bread while drinking pure wine produced in Paros. Enjoy the hospitality of the island and experience life as a local for a day. After your lesson, you have the rest of the afternoon free. Overnight in Paros.
It is time for you to explore a little more of this beautiful island. You can choose to visit the Antiparos island which is right across Paros, with a yacht where you can dive into the endless blue waters and relax under the sun. Moreover, if you wish more sightseeing combined with visiting a beach, we can arrange a mini island tour for you. During the night, you will be able to enjoy the very popular nightlife of this island. Overnight in Paros.
After having a good breakfast and arranging which local products you will be taking with you, our guide will escort you until your arrival at the airport of Paros to catch the flight for your way back home.
