Arcadia is one of the regional units of Greece, about 2 hours driving from Athens. It is situated in the central and eastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. It takes its name from the mythological figure Arcas. In Greek mythology, it was the home of the god Pan. In European Renaissance arts, Arcadia was celebrated as an unspoiled, harmonious wilderness.
The Arcadia Fam Trip is where agents, event planners, consultants or potential clients are invited to visit Arcadia as an alternative destination, by The Kase Project. We, as hosts, will typically book all your travel, and daily activities and meals. The trip allows for the destination to show off its venues, services, and suppliers.
Our goal is to blow your socks off and showcase this wonderful alternative destination, which in turn would entice you to bring your clients and/or conferences to Greece one day. We simulate activities that the attendees would be doing such as social excursions, opening receptions at local venues, accommodations at various hotels so you can get to know our “products”.
The Museum opened in 1986 and since 2000 it has been housed in a building given by the village’s former Mayor and maintained by the current Mayor. The Museum now works on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 5, the collections are categorized and the visitors are provided with informational material on every item, so that they are aware of each item’s history. Among the items there are rural objects, traditional costumes and other things people used in their daily life, like tools and utensils. However, there is still a maintenance problem, as none of the items has ever been maintained since the Museum opened its doors. In order to help solve this problem, students from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens do their internships at the Museum in order to help preserve the Greek cultural inheritance.
In the main square of Vytina is the stone church of St. Tryphon, the patron saint of the area, which was built in 1864 on the foundations of an older church. The temple was built by local craftsmen with the famous local black marble.
In 2007, two young people, Nikos and Kiki, decide to take a step towards decentralization, escape the intense pressure of Athens and open a cozy old-fashioned tavern in the hometown of Nikos, Vlaherna. The small tavern got the name "The hangout of my dreams" and it's exactly what its name states... A hangout of your dreams...
Experts have ranked it in the list of the 10 most valuable caves in the Greek territory. The cave was first researched by the French archaeologist Gustavo Fuser in 1887 during his excavations in Mantineia. One of the areas of the burning cave is named "the magnificent hall”.
In the beautiful village of Arcadia Kapsia beside the enchanting pine forest of Mainalon, the old mansion of Evangelos Kalogris was restored based on the tradition and the architectural materials and elements of the place. Evangelos Kalogris, the youngest, fully respecting the desire of his grandfather, opened the doors of the mansion for the public, creating a small traditional winery, with open spaces of production and hospitality.
