Iraklia is situated between Ios, Naxos, and Koufonissia! It is the westernmost inhabited island of the Small Cyclades group. Its visitors can enjoy its crystal-clear waters, its rich seabed, the absolute tranquility, and of course relaxation.

It has 151 inhabitants and consists of two villages: Panagia or Chora and Agios Georgios. It has ten beaches but only three are accessible by car. Livadi beach is considered to be the best among them. It is a long sandy beach that faces the islands Venetiko and Schinoussa.

Access to Agios Georgios beach is easier. The waters have a beautiful blue-green color, ideal for underwater exploration. You may also consider visiting the pebble beach of Turkopigado but keep in mind that you will have to walk about half an hour from Panayia to reach it.

Alimia is for diving enthusiasts. Below its salty waters lies the wreckage of a German fighter plane from the Second World War.

Iraklia is a place of relaxation and carelessness!

Located in a quiet part of the world, Schinoussa has untouched beauty. It is one of the smallest islands just a short distance away from Naxos.

Its harbor Mersini is considered to be one of the best shelters for small boats across the Aegean Sea.

The villages of Schinoussa are two, Chora and Messaria. Chora, which is built on a hill, isĀ one kilometer away from the port of the island. The second village of Messaria is about 2,5 km from Chora. Cycladic architecture is everywhere to be found in the houses of the permanent residents.

Schinoussa is unique among the small Cycladic islands because of its natural beauty. Most of its beaches -18 in total- can only be accessed via dirt road.

Tsigouri is the most popular beach on the island. There are many trees that provide shade along the beach, making it an ideal spot for families.

Livadi, Tholari, Lioliou, Bazaiou, Pori, Almiros, Psili Ammos, Fikio, Gerolimionas are some of the most worth-visiting beaches, untouched by human hand.

Koufonissia consists of two islets, Ano and Kato Koufonissi, which are separated by a narrow strait.

Virgin beaches, crystal blue waters, and natural beauty. Undoubtedly, paradise is found in Koufonissia. Carefree living and relaxing are the hallmarks of these islands. People who choose these destinations for their vacations will realize that all they need in order to have a good time is to get in the right frame of mind. The time passes loosely, calmly, and pleasant there with no one keeping track of it.

The picturesque village of Chora is just above the small harbor. It is a model of Cycladic architecture. Wandering among the whitewashed alleys is worth more than anything else.

The beaches of Ano Koufonissi are enchanting. The waters are blue and relatively shallow. Pori beach is said to be the best while the most popular are the beaches of Harokopos and Platia Pounta.

Pori is a sandy beach and many consider it the most beautiful of all. Very close to it are the caves of Xylobati, Gala, and Cave “The Devil’s Eye”.

The most crowded beach is Platia Pounta. The locals call it Italida (Italian). Equally popular is the beach of Harokopou or “Phoenix” because of the local business situated there. The waters of this beach are just great!

Koufonissia islands areĀ ideal for those looking for a getaway out of the ordinary. It is a fact that in recent years they have been attracting many tourists from around the world. Despite the increasing number of visitors duringĀ summer the islands have still managed to preserve their uniqueness!

Donousa is the easternmost island of the Small Cyclades complex. It is located east of Naxos and north of Amorgos. Its area is only 13 sq. Km.

The permanent residents are scarce and do not exceed 170. The largest village and port of the island is Stavros. It is a picturesque village with whitewashed houses and a distinct Cycladic identity that enchants every tourist. This small village took its name from the chapel of Timios Stavros (Holy Cross), located on the eastern side. According to history, the first inhabitants of the village who built the homonymous church came from Amorgos. Other picturesque villages are Mersini, Haravgi, and Kalotaritissa.

Considered by many the most beautiful beach on the island is Livadi. In order to dive in the clear blue waters, half an hour of hiking is required. But it is well worth the effort!

Blue waters, white sand, and cedar shade define the backdrop of Kedros beach.

Do not forget to visit Fokiospilia, a submarine cave where you can opt for a thrilling dive!

Only a few know Donousa island and also a few are the ones who finally decide to visit it. But everyone who gets to know it falls in love with it!
