Shipwreck diving adventure Greece – 10 days

Welcome to Athens! Our guide will be expecting you at the airport and will lead you towards your accommodation. After a short break, you will be ready for your first expedition at the famous shipwreck of Athens, in the Saronic Gulf. Prior to your diving, you will be provided with the necessary equipment and instructions by the expert of the diving center. You will have the chance to take beautiful underwater pictures as your view will be crystal clear. Although there are not many species around the wreck, there is a possibility that you will see some groupers and morays. After your dive, you will be heading back to your accommodation and you will dine at a special restaurant in the city’s heart. Overnight in Athens.

Today you are free to discover Athens! After a good breakfast, you will have the chance to stroll around this beautiful capital with a majestic historic past. Visit the neighborhoods of Plaka, Acropolis, Thisseio, Monastiraki side by side with our guide who will inform you and lead you through wonderful narrow streets. Take your lunch at a local restaurant or grab a bite on the go while discovering the city. The evening is yours to discover how Athenians entertain themselves! Overnight in Athens.

Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will be sailing from the port of Piraeus towards the island of Kea (Tzia). After your accommodation and a short break, you are ready for exploration of a very famous shipwreck. With the right equipment and a higher level of knowledge, you will have the chance to dive deeper into the Cycladic Sea and discover a unique wreck from the 19th century. Swim in the clearest blue waters along with large pelagic fishes for an ultimate experience! After your session, you can take your time and relax. Dine at one of the local taverns of the island including dishes with lobster and pasta, rooster meat, cheese salads and cold cuts. Overnight in Kea.

Today is a day for relaxation. Take your time and enjoy this island’s beautiful landscapes. Discover small villages, ancient monuments, museums, and a range of blond sandy beaches either savage or equipped with sunbeds and beach bars. Moreover, you can taste local products in different stores such as honey, herbs and tea, sausages, cold cuts, fruits and nuts produced at the island. In the evening there are many music/art & local events taking place and you are free to join them. Early in the morning after taking your breakfast, you are leaving the island of Kea and heading to Naxos island. Naxos is known for its many shipwrecks resting at its bottom. Today you will be diving in a fighter aircraft placed at the seabed of the island. This exploration requires advanced individual divers. You will be of course accompanied by certified instructors for a safe and unforgettable experience. At the bottom, you will find an immersed aircraft in perfect condition full of colorful sponges and webs that have formed over the years around it, and you will meet greater amberjacks, giving a wonderful image impossible to forget. Late in the afternoon, you are free to dine and take long walks. Overnight in Naxos.

Good morning! Time for another exploration here at one of the many shipwrecks of Naxos. Diving in this one you will be able to see the bright side decks, the rudder, and the bridges on the back deck. Swim along red scorpionfishes, white whitings and damselfishes. You can also take photos of this amazing undersea view. The rest of the day is yours. Overnight in Naxos.

After your breakfast, you are free to decide how to spend your day in Naxos island. If you wish sightseeing, our guide is available to provide you with appropriate details. Moreover, you can lunch and dine at restaurants full of local delicacies and plates such as ‘graviera’ cheese, olives, honey, local meat and pasta. In the afternoon and late evening, you can explore the island’s nightlife. Overnight in Naxos.

Early in the morning, you will be sailing to Amorgos island for your next adventure. Dive and discover a shipwreck, that now has become an artificial reef, that accommodates different fish species, sponges and corals. Along with the wreck, you might see a number of large tunas and barracudas. The rest of the day is free for relaxation and activities of your choice. Overnight in Amorgos.

After your breakfast, you have the day free for discovering this beautiful and savage environment which differs from others. Swim in the endless blue waters of its wild beaches and enjoy yourself at its alternative coffeshops, restaurants and bars. Overnight in Amorgos.

After having a good breakfast, and arranging which local products you will be taking along with the photo gallery of your diving experiences, our guide will escort you until your arrival at the airport of Athens to catch the flight for your way back home.

Please note that for each one of your experiences you will be provided with the appropriate diving equipment along with instructions of expertise. The diving experiences require certification of AOWD.
